Looking at getting back into the hobby, but want to go with the big boys. Not looking to compete, but to toy and beat around the yard, what do you recommend thats out there and not crazy expensive?

Axial Ax10. For the money its really good. Dont bother with the RTR. Get the ARTR and get the electronics you want. Tons of hop ups, tons of support, and a solid product. If it werent for the upcoming Losi I would buy an Axial.

Go with a clod setup. Buy some clod axles and a Claw 50/50 shockless chassis from crawford performance engineering and you will have a GREAT basher. Unless you want to build yer own chassis(highly recomended if you have the skills). Thats the super i run and it is killer, although it is down at the time, all the electronics have been cabbaged for my sons truck. But all the same it kicks ass when running over HUGE rocks and also being able to climb ANY staircase...
