| Switching from Axial to Berg
Like the title says I am making the switch to Berg. What can I use off my Axial. I know Knuckles, Shocks, C's I believe, Motor, ESC and reciever. Would there be anything else such as bearings that are compatible? |

It all depends man. No you can't reuse your c's as they are machined into the berg case. You could reuse your chassis and possibly even the links if your lucky. Just get your stuff and start building, fill in the blanks as needed. Building a berg isn't like building an Axial, you will have to think a little harder usually to get everything perfect. |

Thanks Harley. I know Bergs are a little more finnicky just from all the ppl in San Diego that run them. I was thinking of using my SWX but I ended purchasing a 3.5 chassis from Billygoat. My lower links I make myself so I will probably try and make a set for the Berg but we will see.

I personally think that the bergs are easier to setup then a shafty. Link geometry plays a much different part in it since you aren't dialing out torque twist. Just get the axles and get yourself a roller. It will really all start together pretty easily. You have some stiff competition out there so make sure and do it right |

You might not be able to use the knuckles from your axial depending on what brand you have and what offset wheel you choose to run. Im using high offset Berg/WK wheels and my wheels wont clear the RCP knuckles.

Welcome fellow berger. Keep the axial stub axles handy. Its a great replacement for the berg ones when thay happen to fail. Also when you are ready invest in a little more flexable chassis. The axial chassis IS good but it is not MOA spacific. You will be limited to tunning if you are an All out type of person. Have fun though. |

Did I just read this right! ha, ha Tre-berger. Good for you. The trickiest part building my berg was soldering the dig unit/ if I can figure it out so can you. Now I'm just getting wheel time in. From no dig to front an rear, I'm just having more fun. from my axial, I'm using the links and axle stubs, and my servo and esc. post some pics.

I am just tired of getting my a$$ handed to me. I love my Axial and have spent alot of money and time on it and just don't think it is climbing the way I want it to so why not just build a new comp rig.

| Switch to Berg!
yeah, go for the $199, that is where I got mine, beware of shipping from them though, it takes forever!!! I switched from a Losi MRC to Berg and it took almost a month to get all the parts from each different shop, it's almost worth it to pay the express shipping fees just to keep the build going! Made me nuts. Check out my build update number 3 (under iphonewizz) also grab a set of Torquemaster Pro's in 35t from Holmes Hobbies, they are like butta!

| Kamikaze Kustoms makes a great chassis. It was cheap for the chassis a dig tray and switches just to get me up and running then I am going to upgrade to the PunkRC dig switch. |
