| RC4WD diablo
Hi guys, I'm new here and to crawling. I'm used to driving offroad 1/10 and 1/8 nitro's/electric's and want to slow everything down. Well right to it! I did a search for the diablo, and nothing came up in here so I'm wondering if anyone has one. It seems like a very capable and basically comp ready crawler to me, but I know nearly nothing about crawlers so am seeking experts opinions. 300$ also seems like a pretty fair price to me considering that the transmission alone is 70$. Is this rig actually worth the 70$+ more then the scorpion? I would love to save money if I could, and just upgrade the electronics I put in. heres the link if you have not heard of it: http://www.rc4wdstore.com/2/product_...roducts_id=694 advice would be much appreciated! Thanks, TLZ |

You would be better off with the bully kit than that. The chassis is good a buddy runs that chassis with the bully axles. He had lots of problems with the T-60 axles so upgraded to the bully axles. If you are looking to get a shafty over a MOA maybe the axial RTC would be a better choice. Hope this helps. |

IMO the Axial is a better choice for a crawler than the Diablo. The Axial has a proven history of being a competitive platform as a crawler. The Axial has many after market upgradeable parts and options. There are a ton of people on this forum who will help you with problem you may run into selecting electronics, setting up your crawler or just general questions. The new Axial RTC Kit and ARTR would be your best options because you get better parts and you can add your own electronics. As of a MOA JP Customs will be coming out with a roller (hopefully soon) and a kit sometime in the near future from what I have read. |

axial vs Diablo... go Axial Axial vs Bully Go Bully! MOA is the way of the future, though the axial is a great setup, it is a couple year old platform. For a slow sport, crawling moves quick in technology. |

Why is MOA so much better then the center mount motor? Just lower CG, or less weight? by the way; I think I'm going to get the axial RTC |

if you are thinking of getting the RTC, read up on the threads first... It is an OK starter truck but not a dialed in comp rig by any means. MOA has a ton of advantages... No driveshafts to fail Lower CG electronic dig ability to have front and rear control better ground clearance (depending on chassis) |

Is there any trucks with the MOA under 300$? It sounds great but I don't know if I have enough money.

Either way you go, I would spend the extra money for a stronger servo. The 645 doesn't quite cut it, and I speak from experience. The 7955TG is a good bit more money but you won't regret it. Or I think there's some 5955MG's in the classifieds right now around $60-$70.
