How to clock berg axles? Just got my first set of BERG axles and would like to clock them, but I am not sure how. |
jeepindoug's clocking tool in the vendors section |
The tool is the easiest and best then there is the stickers I have done the stickers and lets say a guy could mess them up pretty easy if not paying attn. There is a thread here about how too. However I am not sure who did it , it shows the area to cut away so thre axle tube will fit once clocked. If you decide the sticker route lemme know I have extras and will mail some to ya. |

can you redrill the case I have a bridgeport mill and can do anything but I wanted to make sure re-drilling was what had to be done. How much should they be clocked 20*? |
First you need to do some searching...some very strong threads to answer all your questions. I made the sticker templates, they work, but as mentioned they aren't for a lazy impatient person...it is precise work. I would not drill the case...its thin cast aluminum. Drilling and grinding the thicker tubes is much safer. Jeepindoug's tool is the best method, I have one. He offers them in differing degrees (or used to). My template was 22.5*. Between 20 and 25 should be plenty. |
