| Cliff Climber for scaler?
Hi, I've just wondered if anyone has ever tried to build a scaler out of a Duratrax Cliff Climber. I plan on building a scale rig with a Proline Blazer body. Would the axles fit and are they any good for the job or should I better stay with other ones such as TLT's? Thanks, Charles |

I doubt it. How many 1:1 rigs have you seen with a motor on each axle? I'd stick with Axial or TLT axles.

A cliff climber isnt a true scale rig because of the axles, but some people have built a couple, look in the cliff climber thread.

| Here we go again... You can build whatever you want to build. If it happens to have MOA axles, the mods will move it to the Cliff Climber section. IMO you can build a scale/trail rig out of the axles and have a perfectly fine rig. If you aren't really competing with it, you'll be fine. Quote:
We can only get so close to being "true scale" with what exists now in the scale world, so if we can "fudge" motor and transmission placement for a SCX10 or XC or TLT or [INSERT OTHER "True Scale" RIG] than why not for a MOA as long as it looks nice? So back to topic... The CC axles are cheap right now, but you can probably find a good deal on other "true scale axles" like the TLTs or MRCs on ebay or the for sale section of this forum. If you want to take a peek at the CC section, there's one or two scale-ish rigs there you can check out. | |
