Default rooster esc

got my rig all put together today i put a novak rooster esc on it
is there a certain incline that the drag brake stops holding the truck?
i was testing it out on varying inclines and it wouldnt hold after a certain point, and im not sure if there is something wrong with my esc or if this was SOP

thanks

Mine seems to hold no matter what. I've never run it through any tests but on the rocks it stays put. I can even hang it straight up and down from the workbench by the rear wheels and it holds, even with the battery pack and 9ozs in each front tire pointing straight down to the ground.

What motor are you using? That may affect the performance of the drag brake.

so how do you go about changing the profiles? I thought the only thing you could change is the lipo cutoff.

The novak ROOSTER esc only has to settings, lipo cut off, no lipo cut off. But the novak GOAT has many profile options.

Possibly, you do not have your esc programmed properly. The Rooster Crawler instructions are linked from this page:

Novak's Rooster Crawler ESC

If you continue to experience difficulties:

You may need to email tech@teamnovak.com with your question.

Quote:
Please make your initial email as detailed as possible. Include:

~ warranty claim?
~ speed control (brand/model)
~ motor (brand/wind)
~ connectors used
~ servo (brand/model)
~ radio system (receiver/transmitter)
~ vehicle & gearing
~ battery, brand (c rating/capacity)
~ any external modules (BEC/brand, Glitch Buster)
~ other important info: water damage, corrosive chemical sprays, excess heat, etc

The more information you provide in your first email, the more quickly tech support can offer you assistance.
