Flat Irons or Hammers, nice middle of the road.

| I've run both, and while the Flat Irons are a consitent performer, they are really lacking when wet. The Hammers seriously own the Flat Irons. I ran M3 compound front & M2 in the rear. I currently run Panthers on my comp rig w/ a combination of stiff 1/10 stadium truck foamsat the wheel & stock memory foams over top of them. I'm happy with the results. The stock memory foam, however, is far too soft for the panther, and they'll fold over far to easily. I've also run Moabs (M2 & M3), Chisels , and the stock Rock Lizards (they suck). I personally have had the most success with the Panthers...at least since I got the foams figured out. The Chisels do alright, but unless you need that tall of a tire, I honestly prefer the Panther and even the Hammers to them. I've never run Losi Claws, but I'd love a chance to try a set of their Comp Claws. Last edited by EvilTwin v2; 06-24-2009 at 07:34 AM. |

My new favorite tire is the RC4WD X-Lock. It has a great compund and good height. I have also had good luck with the Panthers and, if it's muddy, Chisels... |

I haven't tried them yet, but I just received a new set of HB Rovers from TCS Crawlers. They have a great price right now on Panthers and Rovers.
