Default Reciever Blinks Green then Nothing

I have a Losi and ran it a few days when I got it. The battery was pretty much fully drained when I set it on the cabinet a few weeks ago. I hadn't touched it since and I charged up the battery for about 5 hours yesterday. I plugged it in and turned on my remote, followed by the switch on the crawler. The reciever light blinked green and then went out. The remote lights are on like normal, but the crawler shows no sign of life. Any ideas? A buddy that has a Losi said I may have drained the battery too far and it may not take a charge now.

New battery the only option, or is there a way to get the battery to take a charge if I drained it too far?

I don't think it can be saved,I would get another battery anyway and a good charger.
