Default Gear Ratio?

just bought a ax10 scorp puting it all together and wondering what size pinon and spur gear i should go with not really looking to go fast but want supreme crawln abiltys

It will depend on the motor/batt combo. Most guys start around the stock 14/87 set up. I'm running 9/92 with a 500puller on 3s.

im going with the novak rooster esc nd 50t motor not sure on a battery yet does a battery really make all the differnce? i was thinking about a 14t pinion and a 93t spur? but yet im not sure at all what works better first crawler here

Their is a big difference between running a big Sub-C 7.2V stick pack VS a 11.1V Lipo. Less weight and much more power and speed.

14/93 should work fine. Stock is 14/87 so you are not far off. If anything your gearing will give more TQ so the motor should have less work if you run a taller tire like the Rover's.
