Default Noob from Cali.

Been out of RC for 15 years, just recently got back into with an 1/8th scale nitro truggy. Well, my dad has been drooling over it and his b-day was Saturday, so I bought him an Axial SCX10. He just finished it and I took it on its maiden voyage in the backyard over some chunks of concrete built into a fire ring. Holy shit, why has it taken me so long to discover rock crawling?????????? I'm buying my own this weekend, LOL Heres a quick pic of his with a B17 Betty body.

Yeah, ha ha. Its at least 15 years old. Futaba Magnum JR. I have a 3PKS for my other cars, but the Magnum JR works just fine for playing around. Now I have to decide what crawler I want to get. The AX10's look like a good deal, but I like unconventional stuff. Dont want to have what everyone else has and prefer something to turn into a tuber. Any suggestions?.

Build a Berg and use the Beetlejuice chassis. I started off with an Axial and I love it. I am actaully rebuilding it to be a rock racer. I bought a Berg to stay more competitive and all I have to say is "WOW".

Cool, thanks! I was actually looking at the Bergs today. Where can I get one? RCP shows no stock. Who makes the Kamikaze chassis? I really dont like the Beetlejuice's looks.

Magnum Jr! I loved that radio! Was my first racing radio, with my JRx-2.

I am really liking those SCX10's, especially with that body. Might be the perfect stablemate to my MRC.

Yeah, I already know that building an 1/8th scale nitro truggy. I just keep telling myself "Its cheaper than full size drag racing."
