lipo or nimh battery whats the diffrence ?
 
what is the diffrence between a lipo or a nimh battery for a losi mini crawler....... and do i need a diffrent charger for the lipo ... and is there any fast chargers for a lipo or nimh battery

Search this forum and you will find out everything you will need to know about Nimh and Lipo and any other kind of battery you can think of but basically a lipo is a battery that is light weight and that has great voltage... The only downside is that you have to get a charger to charge it and balance it, so it can get kind of expensive but a nimh battery is sometimes a little bigger and heaver and is not as much voltage but is also cheaper than going lipo in most cases... Just my .02 so good luck on on your decision

lipo batteries have a higher discharge rate (generally) and will provide a bigger "punch" than a nimh. comparing a similar voltage minh vs lipo the lipo will deliver higher current and be lighter. you can fast charge nimh, but it is not good on the longevity of the battery. lipos do not do well with fast charging (there are some newer lipos that advertise higher charge rates but i do not have experience with these yet am a bit skeptical) but lipos also require a more expensive charger
