Default CC01 electronic problems

So I bought a CC01 pajero kit a few weeks ago and have been buying my parts slowly. I have all my electronic parts now but I still have a few questions. This is what I have: stock Tamiya motor, Tamiya TEU-101BK esc, Traxxas TQ2 controller, Traxxas 2215 receiver, Traxxas 2070 digital servo, and a Pirahna 2000 7.2volt battery pack. My problem is the battery lead from the esc does not fit into the receiver. Different number of pins and thicker. Do all I need is a different connector or do I have a wrong part? Also does anyone have a list of plug and play electronics for the CC01?

Can you post a pic of the lead?

Looking at a pic I found online it should plug right into the Traxxas receiver.

the esc lead just goes into the ch2 spot on the receiver not the 2 pin bat spot

If it is that your trying to put the wires into the battery port on the reciever, dont feel bad i just had that same problem yesterday with my copperhead kit but as i was told and want to pass on "1 for turn, 2 for burn" a little rule of thumb and some word association.

I have a lead from the esc plugged into chan 1, servo lead in chan 2, but there is another little two pronged lead also coming off the esc which I assumes plugs into the battery slot on the receiver to power it. I will post a pic when I get back to my pc.

I googled that ESC, and it's a very strange design. It has the normal receiver connector, a power switch and a third wire that goes to the Bat port on the receiver - no idea why Tamiya chose to send the BEC output on a separate wire.
A further google showed this:http://www.goldstarstockists.com/downloads/teu101bk.pdf

Seems that the extra plug doesn't fit in some receivers - you need an adaptor or the power switch that matches the Rx.
No idea why it fits some receivers and not others - I thought these connections were standard?

You have to plug the 2 wire lead into your receiver. This esc draws power from the receiver. As stated on towers site "Must be used with a receiver that has BEC"

Plug the 2 wire lead into the battery slot on the receiver. You may have to trim the plug a bit. I know when using some servos on JR and Spektrum receivers I sometimes have to trim the plugs to fit.

Receiver with a BEC - never heard of such a thing.

Ended up shaving the connector to make it fit. Then since it was a two prong going into a r prong, I plugged it into the outside two. Works like a charm. Thanks for all the help guys!

I have this reciever in my CC-01, and I used a Futaba controller, but it should be the same hopefully. What I did was plug the red lead into the battery connection on the first two prongs. Those are the positive negitite poles on a reciever. I did it just as a precation if that ESC did the BEC a different way or something. The black connector goes in the channel spot. If the battery connector doesnt fit, just shave the plastic so it fits. Mine was tight.
