Default Looking for a ESC for a cell lipo

I am thinking about upgrading to lipo .I am running a roster esc with a 55t that would be good for a 2 cell lipo .

Default esc

The Sidewinder is the S%it and besides the FXR's are known to sometime smoke and blow up.

There has been a few. Its not like its a big problem. Not to mention we don't really know if the ones that smoked were actually wired correctly. Tekin has great service, so if there is a problem they will take care of it. The sidewinder is a good esc but I wouldn't say its the s%it. It is large, weighs more, and the drag break on Castle esc's is weak. I love my Tekin FXR's and would only consider Holmes new esc as a replacement.

Get any of those listed they are all good ESC's the Tekin and Castle products are all adjustable, get what suits your wallet. Everyone on this thread besides Bigflex says go with Castle, but on another thread about the same ? everyone says go with Tekin besides one member says go with Castle so I say it's just what you want and your preference I have a few Sidewinders and they work great .

Don't you need the hotwire for the FXR or can it be done by the radio?

Both can be done by radio. you do not need a castle link for the mamba max though just a micro usb cord.

The hotwire gives you more fine tuning but The FXR is super simple to adjust using the 2 buttons on the top. It is alot easier to program than the sidewinder.

i prefer Castle stuff, sidewinder or mamba. Their customer service is second to none in my opinion too if you have a problem.

i know you can program the sidewinder with your remote but it takes a while. i did it once while on the phone with castle and it took 15 minutes.
