Chris, I sure did....using the Link, you can change MANY features. You can even write specific throttle curves...which is quite helpful if your radio doesnt have this function.

check the classifieds. "bunch of stuff for sale" type threads. but dont forget a puller motor isnt a normal sized motor. and that the FXR are just as programable as a castle via hotwire. the tekkin hotwire also lets you like daowload professioanl tekkin dudes custome settings from the internet. if youre into that fhagy twitter shit |

| Either a puller motor, or a 55-35turn holmes hobbies torque master or what ever it is called, a buddy of mine has them on his berg with a mamba max and it has insane drag break compared to my integy 55 v11's with a mamba max. puller- http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...&cat=17&page=1 torquemaster- http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...&cat=17&page=1 |

| Why even bother asking? Every single other post here said clearly FX-R. We won't talk about my own short experience with the FX-R, but I'm still in high hopes that despite their less than acceptable return to place of purchase policy on out of the box failures the long term experience I have with them will be more than favorable. I know at least in reviewing everyones specs in what they submitted for their patents the Tekin FX-R rocks on paper.

| Well since ya didn't heed on the fxr drag brake advice I don't expect ya to listen on the torque advice but here goes. Change to 3 cell lipo and gear the 55t ya got down.

Might be hard to believe, but if you are going for a really good drag brake that works in forwards or reverse, that is easy to work with, and you like dirt cheap, go with a Duratrax Sprint ESC . Its what I use in my comp rig. Weird, eh? The brake though, when you use it, can hold the thing at as steep of an angle as the thing will climb almost. You stop the car and go neutral, it goes into the brake. You tap the throttle and it releases the brake. It also has a kind of ABS brake as well. If you brake at half capacity, it has a controlled brake, and the wheels will lock up with no motion if you slam on the brakes. It then has a two second wait period before going into reverse. I only used it because I took it off a junker Evader. Glad I made the discovery! I use mine with an Integy 65T crawler and a custom 1900Mah NiHm pack. This setup has great response in slow speeds, and still carries good wheel speed. I used to have a 45T and a 1500Mah pack, but it was jumpy and not precise, but I am happy with what I have. With this ESC, the higher turn motor and higher capacity battery, the better it works. |
