Red for permanent fixing, blue if you need to remove the screw/nut at some point.
I prefer Tamiya blue threadlock. It holds well, but comes apart easily for maintenance.

And purple (Loctite 222) for anything under 4-40/ M3 IMO.

blue eventually your gonna want to make some mods or a new set up its alot less painless to remove
