Default 300 to spend.

Hey guys I have 300 to spend on a crawler, I already have electronics but I'm torn between a Scorpion with a SWX conversion or the Losi comp. Help me decide because I can't. What's the pros/cons of the two. Thanks

I would say that the AX10 is a little more startup friendly. You put it together and drive it for a long time. It doesn't need the regreasing and breaking in like the Losi does. I think it would probably work a little better with the electronics you are using as well. The AX10 has a bunch more aftermarket things too. Thats my personal opinion though.

For only $300 ya can't build a moa (bully/berg/HR) even with the electronics ya got (good stuff). I would say get a artr and join the fun. Or look for a moa used.

With the electronics that you have, I would have to go with the axial. I have both the axial and losi and I feel the Losi is better sueted for someone that wants a " Comp Crawler ". It also takes a lot more care and better electronics. For the money the axial is a better choice for all around crawler and basher if you want.

Just my oppinion. Good luck .

What do you consider better electronics? I think both are comp worthy crawlers thats why I am having a hard time choosing between the two? I would like someone to explain the differences between the two, both good and bad.
So if I was to buy a dig for the axial that makes up for the same set up as the losi apart from the worm drive. What's the benefit of worm drive over regular gears? Sorry for so many questions.

From what i've seen the losi is a great comp rig. It will usually run 6min without cooking anything. The worm gears allow smooth front and rear dig (no freewheel) and there is little torque twist. The problem with worm gears is they are really inefficient so require lots of power to get any wheelspeed or torque. They really need a good sensored brushless setup on at least 3 cell lipo. Even then if you are thinking runtime, look elsewhere. The losi is not a basher, imho.
