Default Question on axles

Looking at getting a set of Berg axles. I keep reading about clocked axles. What do you mean by clocking a axle. Also the term lockouts on a rear axle. I have seen that I you should go with an aftermarket lockout.

Thanks,
Neil

Clocking = Rotating the center diff upward
Lockout = fixing the steering knuckles so that they dont move

Then there would be no real purpose to clock a MOA crawler. Would that be correct? I can understand clocking with a trans, to change the driveshaft angle

You clock Berg axles to get the motor up and out of the way, to keep it from contacting obstacles.

Yep, like Robb said....it's purley for clearance on MOA. For shafties, it can help with driveline angles...
