how long is a comp run?

How long does it normally take to run an average comp course for a Super? I am sure they vary by course design, but just in general, would it take 5 minutes, 15 minutes, or whatever?

Just wondering if I need to upgrade batteries of if I can get by with the old mostly worn out cells I already have.

Most comps set a time limit per course. Find out who is running the comps in your area and ask them what time limit they use.

Rarely is it over 10 minutes, though.

We run three 5 minute timed courses. So 15 minutes total.

JeremyH 08-05-2009 11:35 AM

Our courses vary from 3-7 minutes...

Ours can be anywhere from 5-10 minutes.

Like someelse said. You need to find out who is running the comp and find what they use. Most every major comp uses 4-5 minutes "thumbsup"

xtra batteries and a charger on hand will also help. by keeping them topped off in between runs u can allways have that little xtra kick and not die on the last course a few feet from the finish. that and after the comp with xtra batteries you can allway splay after and learn some new tricks from your fellow drivers

I do have a good charger, I recently bought a Venom procharger. I do need some good batteries though.

Will the EMaxx EVX work with a 11.1 Lipo?

K_B 08-06-2009 11:35 AM

The EVX will work, but it doesn't have a low-voltage cutoff.
