I would not get the XXL. If ya do the rod end mod the xl may be too long. I'm running the long big bores with rod end mod and they are alittle long on my KK zero 4.0. They give about 2.50" skid height on my stock ax10 chassis.

Slash/rustler/stampede rears and T/E maxx shocks are all 4" long.

Slash/Rusty/Pede fronts are 3.5" long.

Revo/jato shocks are 3.5" long

I don't know of any other sizes other than 4tec shocks which are very short. The big bore XXL's are the same length as pro series XL's. For a stock axial chassis I'd advise 4" shocks. For the best deal get the T/E maxx set, I just picked up a set of 8 from stormer for about 63 bucks, with springs

Sure can. That's the recommended set up for the RCP Hustler chassis for super class. You can in fact buy the shocks and internal springs at RCP Crawlers. They'll go together a bit different than stock Axial shocks, but they'll work fine.

Might....

I've never run an Edge, not really my cup of tea. I think they recommend 4" shocks for that. Set up in droop,it'd be a belly dragger for sure....THATS my cup of tea.

i run big bores with cap mod on stock a 10 chassis, belly height is 2 7/8"Perfect IMO..Can move shocks and links around and get anywhere from 2 3/4" to 3" Cap mod is easy and works great no leaks, smooth as butter..Love these things, and the springs that come with work fine for me but my rig heavy!Buy the eight pack for the maxx and split with a buddy!Great shocks for thirty bucks!Cant beat it....

You basically just cut the mount off the cap, drill a hole, put a screw through it and put a bottom shock end on it with some RTV to seal it up. Gives you a ball end and a little extra length

we used o rings rather than rtv to seal, with chamfered screws so not to tall to hit bladder...If running droop i suggest 1/4" fuel tubing spacer to not let shock totally bottom out.Have seen bladders damaged riding droop with shock bottomed out!

Thanks again, I plan on running internal shocks on top of the piston so it stays sprung
Do I still use the top bladder on the top of the traxxas shocks or an O-ring to seal the cap?

x2 How much did you end up paying for the set? Was it threaded?
