So can I work my 3rd channel to turn on my lights?

why do you need a servo?

I have that same radio and my lighting was plugged directly into the 3rd channel of the rx. no servo needed. yes it works and thats all you need to do.

Thanks for the reply pantablo, i did not know that this was possible. Are you using a special cable to plug into channel 3? Im using the tamiya light kit (TLU 01) and i'm not sure if it comes with that. I wanted a servo so I can use it to mechanicaly toggle the TLU switch. Looks like your is a better (cleaner) approach. Can you switch it on by remote too?
