when it comes to radios and receivers, cheap isnt the way to go, unless you like big receivers and lots of interferance. that being said hitech agressor makes a 3 channel and its about 120 bucks (cdn) never used it but lots of guys new into the sport use the 2 channel, it glitches a bit but its not super bad, wouldnt want to use it in comp or any where else there is alot of other radios, or even power lines for that matter.

or you could be like all the cool kids and spend the $ and get a spektrum

You can look on ebay for any of the older FM Airtronics, JR, Futaba radios, they are very reliable and very affordable. I just upgraded to Futaba 3PM radio and not having crystals is awesome. Just a thought.

Default Wife not happy

Thanks for the more info than a newbie can handle. According to my wife she says this new hobby of mine is more than she can handle. I guess I have been spending a little to much time here. She will get over it.

Default Cheap Cross Rails for a Chassis......

I had some X-trail chassis plates laying around but I didn't have any cross rails for it.

SO.....

I looked around and I found the factory Tamiya Pushbar for my Toyota HiLux.

When you take the Pushbar apart...it will give you 4.....2-7/16"s aluminum links/crossrails. They're already threaded and you can use the bolts that were holding them together on the pushbar if you'd like.

It may work for you....try it out !!!

i know akles are held in place by the shocks, and are kept from going back and forward by the two metal bars, BUT how are they kept from going sideways out the side of the rc car?????????

Most folks where we are run Castle Sidewinders and 45T - 55T basic brushed motors. Drop a 3c lipo and you get great wheel speed (make sure you add a bec)

How much can you spend?. I'm sure you can buy a new rtr (ready to run) axial in the states for a good price or go with a used axial on ebay. What ever you decide stick with an axial as tons of parts are available and it's a good reliable crawler.
