-looking to gain some clearance on the rocks, looking at proline chisels, use mostly on granite rocks, no flat or round, smooth rock, good tire? -also have a mamba max with a 6900kv motor, good candidate or just run the mamba with the stock motor? -the rtr axial comes with a cheap looking radio, and it gets glitchy and freezes up sometimes .what is causing this? just a cheap radio receiver? -I see there a rear steer conversion, is this just a novelty item , or a functional crawling tool? What do you do when you want to run fust front steer? Thanks for your time, and helpin an axial newb! |

I was asking about the proline chisels too and I have been told by most people that there are better tires out there for less. How much ground clearance do you have? I am not gonna say anything about your electronics cause I don't know as much about them! As for the rear steer, If you plan on competing it is illegal in the 2.2 class to have rear steer. If you want you can pick up a set of rear lockouts and straight axles that replace the stock knuckles and hubs. good luck! |

Rovers or lepords will out crawl chisels everywhere. I don't recommend unsensored brushless on a crawler. Even he stock motor will be smoother if geared right. Yes the electronics are sad. Keep the antenna up on the crawler and a bec is a must on a crawler. Rear steer isn't worth anything without a decent 3 channel radio but a dig is a better way to go. Welcome to the addiction |

6900kv in a crawler??? WAY to fast....I ran my 5700kv with 3s one time...just to see...left 4 burn marks in the drive way...you need a way slower motor for crawling...I use the Mamba with a 35T and LOVE it...lots of wheel speed and enough torque to get you anywere you want... Ohh and I use flat irons...but we have slate rock and loose dirt here. the glitching MIGHT be your stearing servo...not for sure..just a guess. |
