Well I think we need more info to help you out. What kind of terrain are you going to be running on? What do you want it to be able to do? Scaler or competitions? Dedicated crawler or basher/crawler? Ready to crawl or do you want to have to do several uprades to it? |

I say that if you are still young enough that your parents are buying you presents that you need to watch your language...

to each his own and all, but nigels got a point. I'd punch my kids in the face if I heard them using that kind of ****ing language.... On to the question... If you are asking if you should upgrade your slash, or get a crawler, then I would obviously say get a crawler. However, You need to take into account whether or not you are gonig to do more crawling, or racing. If you want to go crawling, then I'd say ge a crawler. You can upgrade your slash later. However if you want to go racing, then skp the crawler and upgrade your slash. Asking a bunch of hardcore crawler freaks whether or not you should get a crawler is like asking a politician if they want a raise... Having said that, you can get a killer deal on a Cliff Climber right now at Tower, bout 50 bucks I think for the ARTR. If you have the money tho, I would suggest getting an MRC (fully ready to run out of the box, EVERYTHING included). They retail for about 230 bucks. You are going to have at least that much in your Cliff Climber by the time you get your electronics. If you go this route, you wont be out as much coin, and you will have something you can learn with, and enjoy. Good luck kid! |

You're young by the sounds of things, so your parents expect everything to be a passing phase. Let your parents know why you want different cars and why you want them upgraded in different ways. Parents don't seem to understand the need to spend money on a car once you've got it or why you need a second car, unless they do the hobby |

well being on the other side of the coin ( the dad that supports both son's rigs ) i feel it's important to maybe get your father involved in what you are up to. when my son said he wanted to put a 35T in his rig over just switching the pinion out, i knew what he meant. and when he told me that he was needing the tekin FXR combo for his rig cause his rooster sucks.... i knew he was going to stay with the rooster. ( i'll get the FXR thanks ) my boys and i have a hell of a time wheeling. we can even got mom out in the cc01 once and a while too. |
