1st tip: vent the wheels to allow air to move in and more importantly out of the tires. 2nd tip: Head over to the Axial section and start reading. Do a search for Axial tips and tricks. I understand you're looking for the simple things that will help you at the start. But it's honestly easier to start your build and as you run into problems search for or ask about the specific problem. |

If your ax10 build is still in progress check out the ax10 build article on here: http://www.rccrawler.com/axialcompbuild.html I've done a few of the things they do in this build to my ax10 so far with great results. |

| Try This
These are a few things to get you started. Get a softer compound tire for better traction on the rocks you climb. Add extra weight to the inside of your tire with stick on weights to the surface of your wheels. Lower your center of gravity by placing your electronic as low as you can go. Getting weight over your front axles is always a good thing. Try a four link setup out back. If possible get you a metal gear steering servo. Switch your fronts shock springs out with soft springs for better articulation. There are a ton of things you can do to these rock crawlers, but this was a list just to get you started. |

I know that when I go up steep inclines without the weight my rig wants to flip backwards. On declines my drag brake and if need be the action of locking the rear wheels makes it easy coming down. Hey it works for me, so we can agree to disagree on this one. | |
