You need both of them. The panthers have real good traction, but the rovers are a taller tire with pretty good traction and helps get over bigger rocks or gaps. It's hard to beat panthers traction. They are both a good choice either way. |

like the person above said you really need to have a set of each if your competing with your rig. they are both excellent tires but depending on rock type one or the other will work better. If your wanting the best all around tire I would have to say go with the rovers. the added height will help you alot and in dirty and dusty conditions i think they work just a bit better.

I had my first day out with my panthers yesterday.. im very impressed. My friend has rovers and they are also extremely good tires. From what i've seen, they are about equal, with each maybe being a little better at this or that but not by that much. If you can only choose one ......... i dont know.. flip a coin and see what happens.

i like my soft rovers, but from what i can see panthers are pretty awesome as well. the obvious differences are the rovers are taller and have a more aggressive looking tread pattern, which i like. as others have said, they give a touch more ground clearance. i doubt you can go wrong either way.

You can also try cleaning your tires with Simple Green between comps. Like others have said if you are comping it is always good to know your terrain and what works best. Soft Rovers are my main tires but I also have a set of OG Rock claws mounted up and ready to go just in case. Going to buy a set of Panthers just to have them just in case. | |

| Rovers or panthers
I like both. Rovers have better side hill abilities and decent traction and of course clearance. Panther Cougers are super sticky and have great stock foams. But the have to be built up on outside edge to keep from tire roll under. It really depends on the course you are on which tire you plan to use. There are many options, and all can be adjusted with creative foam applications. Best advice is to get both and play with setup on both your rig and tires. If the rig isnt setup right no matter what you do with tires it will do ya no good. |
