Question plastic or metal body

Ok so I have the creeper body and all my stuff is on the top and I cane help but cringe when I hit the top from a roll back. So I was going to get another body and make one out of some sheet metal but then the weight would go up. So would it be better to make a cage over my bec and stuff or one out of sheet metal .

your lexan body will do a fine job of protecting everything.

there is no need to cringe when it flips over the plastic is designed to absorb impacts. there is not much force at all when it flips over. it will break the body before any of the components. If you want to go cage you will have to replace the current chassis plates as most tubers are made with the tvps allredy. An Axial one might work you might have to modify the bottom skid for it to mount right

Metal is the best! Plastic bodies get scratched up a lot. If you are using lots of stickers they stick better on plastic.

a raw metal tuber can look just as good as one with a super awsome paint job and tubers get bent but i think they kinda look better that way

Default Which One To Get

My rig has taken some really hard falls, but my RC body holds up every time. After a hard fall just check the body for cracks or weak spots. If you find something major its time for a new body.

You can't really go wrong with a lexan body. Just making sure you've got a little space between the body and your valuble parts, to allow flex from hard impact.

It can help keep the COG lower to stay plastic
