Question Lipo ??? Help

New to lipo i am thinking of using two cell lipos on my clod crawler. One for the front esc and one for the rear esc. My question is will it give me more run time and c burst. Over a three cell lipo of the same size on both esc.
Thanks for your help

It may give you a little more run time but it will give you less power and possibly create stall since one battery could be at a lower voltage than the other. Just run a single 3 cell with a high discharge rate like the Hyperion VX 3rd gens and you will be just fine. If you need more runtime than just get a higher MAH rated battery. On my comp crawler I am using the 1100 3 cell with a 35c/65c discharge rating and a 5 amp charge rate to charge them in 15 mins or so.

It depends on how you're running them. 1 good battery is enough that is of respectable quality. C rating wont go up in a paralleling of batteries. Just capacity. 1 Good 3S is what I would run... Well I am actually a fan of 4 cell lipos But most use 3 cell

I suppose it depends how you look at it.
Put 2 1500mAH 20C packs in parallel, you'll have a 3000mAH 20C pack. The C rating is the same, but the max current has gone from 30A to 60A.

Yeah your amperage handling goes up but not C rating. A higher C helps the pack run more efficiently and hold a higher voltage. C is all relative to the capacity. Thats like saying a 20C 5000 mah is a higher C than a 20C 1000 mah. C is the same on both backs relative to their capacity. One can just handle more current simply because it is larger, not because of C. Now if you had a 20C 5000 and a 40C 2500... they both could handle the same current, just the 2500 would get less runtime.

thanks chris that makes good seance to me the higher the mah the longer run time . and the higher the c the more voltage burst i think.

one more question i know that if you hook up battery,s in series that it increases the voltage. and if you hook them in parallel at increases the amps but the voltage stays the same. is this true in lipo i assume that it is.

sorry for the newbie questions :?

but thanks
