| losi mini or axial rtr
I have a chance to get a losi mini crawler for $150. it has 2 bodies and 3 sets of wheels and upper links along w/ the stock radio etc.... Or should I wait and get the axial rtr and upgrade as needed. I only plan to run local rocks and no comps. I am not sure if the mini is to small for what I want please help me decide. what would you do Please keep in mind I am married and well you know what I am talking about I cant buy both LOL

IMHO,the 2.2 is a more versital crawler, and is more biginner friendly.I have two 2.2 rigs, one I did most of my learning on,and the other,I'm learning to comp on.I'd like to try a 1.9mini now,but I think that I would've been dissapointed if I'd started with it.There's alot of gtgs, and local comps that are definately worth trying, alot don't run the 1.9's atleast around here. Hope that helps. |

for an extra $5 id go w/ the rtc an extra 5 for a comp style body and much much better tires is well worth it. as stated in the post above 2.2 is more versitile. plus the after market support if alot larger. |

Get the RTC from axial. If you decide to compete it will give you a good base to start from. I started with the RTR, wish the RTC had been available.

i got the rtr and the stuff you have to do out of the box to crawl aint worth saving 5 bucks, the rtc is well worth it with the shorter shocks, and better body and tires replace the lower links and its good to go!

I agree, good choice. I have the artr, and now that I do I am thinking about getting a mini. But I;m glad I started with the 2.2
