Default DNA Dig Servo Placement?

i've been noticing lots of people move there servos to the chassis plates for the dna digs, any reason for this other then weight placement? Is it fine to put the dig servo up top ( hitec hs-225mg) without binding or anything? I'm waiting for my servo plates, dig servo and hardware in the mail. Thanks

EDIT- im using the DX3 radio ( not the dx3.0) will i have to hold the third channel switch to the left everytime im using 4wd? thinking about it it would be in front wheel drive, rears free mode right? i hope im wrong :(

You can mount it any way you want, most want the mount as low as possible for obvious reasons but mine is mounted to the chassis above the trans,i also did this cause it's a full size servo.
Your dx3 will hold 4wd postion itself, you can program the radio to a few different ways.

found an old pic for ya,as long as you can work out the linkage setup make your own mount or you can get DNA's new mount that holds any size servo.
