If the motor gets too hot the magnets will lose strength. Not much you can do, since motor zappers are very uncommon now.

i have fried two fxr esc's in the past two months...i have the tekin 45t motors the fxr esc ,ds8711hv with the bec set at 7 volts ,every time i get the truck in a little bind and try to get it unstuck with more throttle the esc goes up into flames (about a 5"s tall) which really gives me a custom looking body everytime ...just go with the mamba max and never worry again thats what i did and i still have a nice looking body..

Ok if you run 3s with the FRX you need to run 35t or higher. What will happen if you run lower? Cause I see guys are running their moa's with two 35t's and 3s. Does a BEC make a difference?
