Default which truck?

hello, im 14 years old and have been in the hobbie for 4 years and i own 2 axials and some others. im wanting to build a scaler. money is kinda tight but with the winter comming up, meaning drive ways to plow. i was thinking of getting a tamiya hilux. is this a decent truck? i open to any thoughts.oh and i work in a shop so i can make custom parts to some extent.

thanks for any comments.

You want an SCX. It'll share a lot of spare parts with your current axials so that's good for saving on spares. Also, it's probably the best crawling scaler on the block. Axial just released the RTR version of the SCX, comes with lights even.

You can put a hilux "body" on an SCX super easy, and you'll have a much more capable, and bullet proof rig then the tamiya hilux kit, for a lot less "plow money".

Also, if you wanted to tear down one of your current axials, you could simply get the SCX Chassis Kit ($50) and put the axles and tranny to good use.

I took my AX10 and Converted it to an SCX10 just made a few new links.

x3 for the SCX10. I love mine. I enjoy it so much more than the AX10 I sold to build it.

sorry, but they were not much help if the scx10's looked like the hilux.

the popular event, where you already own some axials, would be to spend a few bucks over at TCS and order this....
Xtrail treats <-------- click here

the hilux is nice, but might be a bit much for what you want.

get that Xtrail, take apart one of your axials, and buy yourself a yota body.
bam... instascaler !
