Default Cheapest Rig

Theres a most expensive rig thread, why not the cheapest rig thread. Lets see those dirt cheap rigs.. Homeade parts, cheap used parts, ductape and zip ties, whatever works for you.

Who has the cheapest rig out there?

My rig def. isn't the cheapest.. but if knew then what i know now.. i could have built a rig for a fraction of the cost. So i know there are people out there making good rigs for not much money. Lets see them

i have a dura trax cliff climber...i should have bought the arr.... but still $119 for the rtr,$22 for a set of panther cougars(used stock rims),$9.50 for 9T pinions,$22.50 for alum. tube, rod ends,3mm screws for building susp. links, less than $175. i put the batteries on the front servo with tie wraps(free), moved the electronics to the battery tray, added a 6 v pack and 1 hitec 645 mg for the front, and put 4 shocks on it from my team associated mmgt(all stuff i had already) My rig now is a 12.25" WB and has about 85-90 deg. of articulation. Clod stall is nearly gone now even with stock motors. I am able to beat up on other rigs that cost nearly twice as much, although i do have quite a bit of time into it, crawlers are a "modelers model" and if you like to tinker these things are alot of fun no matter what you buy!

get your rig like my pops got his...

go to the store and spend six dollars on lottery scratch tickets.
on one of those tickets you will hit for $ 300.00.
go to rpphobby and setup an account.
add one axial scx10 Trail Ready to your cart.
pick cheap shipping.
wait a loong time while the fedX guy is out playing in utah with ur rig.
...... aaaannd BAM !

for the six you spent at the store, and the fourteen for slow boat shipping, you got a pretty little rig that does some sweet jumps.

well, i guess everyone is spending the big bucks on new stuff..

my next crawler will be a budget rig. Im planning on hand building everything possible. Anything i have to buy i plan on shopping around for the best deal.

I was hoping i would see some nice rigs built for cheap.
