first mods to your scx10?

what should i move around? i seen a lot of people moving the servo up to the frame with the hands brothers mod. anything else that i should do?

yup. its a scaler truck so the sky(and budget) is the limit when building one. there are so many things you can add. bodies wheels winches custom fab stuff any thing that suits your fancy. Go look in the SCX10 thread for some ideas. there are LOTS of awsome build threads that people have done so spend some time in there and use that search button"thumbsup" good luck

i think almost everyone's first mod is a new body. the one that comes with the kit is... not attractive. the TR has a better one, but if you have that the electronics are good candidates for replacing, i'm guessing.

- Drill venting holes in the wheels
- Add weight to the wheels
- Move the battery mount to the front and the receiver box to the back(mount it low in front of the rear shock towers using the stock mounts)

Weigh and vent the wheels for sure. Move the servo on the chassis as I did with a mount I fabed or the hands bro kit. The handsbro kit is cool cuz you get the 3 link mount and the trac bar, but don't really need it. Get a small lipo and fab a plate for it up front. I mounted my electronics box all the way as far as I could in the rear, painted it silver and called it a fuel tank. Do away with the rea rshock hoops unless you are using them for body mounts and fab a new shock mount out of delrin so you can lay the shocks down and mount them insid the frame. Gets WAY better flex. A good body is the hilux. Fits perfect.

My SCX10 is the crawler in my fleet that I havent modded to much. I changed the body to a HPI bronco and Added Titus weighted wheels. Other than that its stock. This truck to me is such a kick to run. "thumbsup"

venting holes in the rim part? and how much weight should i add?
and im probably gonna get a new bright fj cruiser body

just thought id let you know, a frame mounted servo actually takes away performance and make you steering servo work a little harder.
frame mounted servos are mainly used for "show" and not so much "go"
