Default Axial (rtc) or Axial rock racer?

Which one is better? I'm gettin one for Christmas. I would use it in my backyard. We have a few places with some rocks that are a decent size. If you need pics let me know and I will show pictures of the back yard.

Well the rock racer has different gears that come with it right? The rock racer does it flip easier? Cause some of the rocks are kind of tall.

the RTR comes with a 27t motor and higher gears and an open front diff with optional locker, the rtc comes with a 55t and lower gears, the stance of the rtc is a little bit lower then the rtr

By looking at most of the pics I have seen of both vehicles you are talking about are almost the same and use most of the same parts. Just different motor and gears (like the other posts state) If you pick the racer and want the crawler, for probably around $40 to $50 dollars you can get the parts to change one into the other.
I just got an RTC a few weeks ago and it works out great for me because im new to crawling, my kit came with a bunch of extra parts and a pack of gears that I would assume are used to unlock the front diff and make it more of a racer.

well, neither one is good in my opinion. if you have your heart set on buying a rtr pos then the best one on the crawler market is a losi night crawler.
#1-it has a 2.4 radio i heard, that means GLITCH free fun.
#2-it has worm gears,so there is a chance that the pos esc is good enough cuz you wont need a drag brake.
so in the end the only thing youll have to change is?
#1-pos servo
#2-pos motor
#3-pos links
the choice is yours, but friends shouldnt let friends buy a rtr crawler.
get a used truck with DIG, its like the difference between a single shot and a repeater, there is no comparison. even if you just wana have fun, DIG is fun.

rtc is a good started rig. its what i started with. but comsidering the money i have spent gettin my rig to what it is now. i wouldd get the artr and buy my own electronics to put in it. or maybe do lots of research and buy all the parts seperatly and build the ultimate rig from the ground up.

Yeah I'm gonna go with the rtc. Cause I like it plus it has axials new shocks. Plus I don't think my mom and dad are going to pay for half of the $300 something dollars for the losi night crawler. Cause I pay half and they pay half. Plus I have a lot places in my yard to crawl around in.
