Default losi rock claws

ok im new to crawling and i have the losi rock claws with stock foams in the rear and memory foams in the front and there kinda short and fat so i was wondering if there is any kind of foams that would make them stand up taller?

The only thing I can think of to make them taller would be stiffer foam, it is the weight of the rig that is squishing the tire(which is good to some degree) You will only be able to stretch the tire so tall because it wasn't made to be that tall. My advice would be find a taller tire if you want a tall tire otherwise stuffing your tire till it's taller will make it harder and in turn not perform like it should. Hope this makes sense and hope it helps.

The rock claws themselves are a short tire. It was Losi's first attempt at a crawler tire. They have since refined the tire by releasing the Comp Claw. The only area I have personally seen a comp claw do well at is California and that was on natural terrain. We don't have that type of terrain here in East Texas so most rock claws here end up being donor tires to make something else out of them.

Rock Claws are short so they work good for side hilling but to make a short tire tall by adding foam is going to hurt the forward bite and traction. Your best option would be to buy some Panther Leopards or Hot Bodies Rovers if you want a taller tire. You are going to waste money and time trying to make a Rock Claw something it was never designed to be.

I made some 6inch tall claws! Used rocklizard sidwalls. and a 5th tire to make them. Works CLAWSOME!! Run prolines dual stage mem. foams, had just the right amount of air-gap that i like also. The rocklizards give good sidewall bite and support.True the raised ground clearance moves the center of gravity up.But the improved brakeovers, ground clearance, contact patch are well worth it.
