battery life???

 I may get burned for this question. But, oh well. I have a Intellect 6 cell 1400 mAh battery. Running an Integy V10 55T motor, Hi Tech HS 645 MG servo, RC4WD ESC w/ XBEC, T-rex 60 axles, RC4WD T2 tranny. When charging the battery, it stops at 8.45 volts. I don't get much run time out of it. 10 minutes, if that. Shouldn't I be getting more time out of it? Do I need to get a battery pack with more oomph?

Is is a NIMH or NICD battery? If it is NICD, they are bad about holding a "memory". With NICD if you run 10 minutes stop recharge and keep repeating this it forms a memory that thats all the runtime it gets and will only last 10 minutes. If its NIMH you might have a bad cell try another battery and see if the runtime changes, keep in mind the more mah it has the longer it will run.

It's a Ni-MH. Guess I'll spend a little more for a better battery

Before you drop money on a battery I recommed checking your drive train. I'm running 2/3 'C' 1500mha batteries and get about 30 minutes on the 7 cell and about 25 minutes on the 6-cells (45T motor). Pull the motor and make sure the drive train is easy to turn. Then spin the motor, there should be resistance when going through the magnets, but it shouldn't be difficult. Lastly, make sure your mesh between your spur and pinion is set correctly, you want just a little bit of space (about the width of notebook paper).
