Default Motors?

Im running an Axial RTC...... that is not so RTC anymore, I have set it up with a Tekin FXR ESC and a Futaba 3PM-MX with the stock Axial servo, just running two channels for now, and im using the Axial 55T motor that was in my RTC when I got it.

My Question is: What would be a better motor to run? I don't want/need tons of wheel speed, but the motor I have now has been a TURD sense it was new. I would like something "slightly" faster, but im undecided over a better 55T a 45T or a 35T......Torque and medium speed would better suit my driving style. what do you guys recommend?

Thanks.

not sure what your $ situation is but. If you are on budget I would probally pick the best of both worlds with a 45t. Get pretty good torque and pretty good wheel speed. (especially with 3s lipo). If you got the money get a nice quality hand wound 35t. Those tekin Pro 35t I've heard are pretty good motors

I would like to get a good motor for the money, budget is not a huge deal, but I don't want to waste $$......I would like to make this a one time deal.

Im not intrested in a brushless set up, and I am running a 3500 NiMH 6 cell.......for now, no Lipo's .......yet!!

Thanks JKelley, I will check that out.

I would spend your money on a 3 cell lipo and see if the motor is ok for ya. If not a holmes or warrior 45t ought to do it.

I agree with that too, but me and another guy are running: the same RTC, the same FXR ESC, the same Battery, the same Radio, and the same 55T Axial Motor. Id say his is 1.5 times faster than mine, his has more wheel speed, the motor over all sounds different. I think this motor was not assembeled correctly and most of my problem.

Im looking at a Novak fifty five....any good?
