Default Pricing out Ax10 RTC's

Found some locally for $299.99 which is great since shipping is rediculous up here. Looks like it does not come with a battery (7.2V) or a charger though. I have no idea how any of the electronics work on these so not really sure what batteries to buy. I guess lipo is the best but will this rig work with a lipo out-of-the-box or does it need modification? I'm in no real hurry to build a competition rig right now so a basic setup that I can play around with is fine for now. Eventually I want to upgrade and make it a scaler.

It depends on the turns of the motor and electronics. When i was using those packs on an novak rooster with a 55t I was getting about 30 minutes of run time. Welcome to the addiction also.

My RTC was $258 at my Local shop,I got a new 6 cell 7.2 3800 mAh battery $35 and a Prophet charger $40 which brought me to $350 OTD. I have way more than that into it now

With the 3800mAh battery and the 55 Turn motor I can run around two and a half-ish hours. I havent gone Lipo yet but im looking in to it, but just starting out the NiMH battery works good even mounted in the high position on the chassis. I also recommend a good set of Deans connectors, their only about $4 per set.

The stock esc will work wit 2cell lipos if ya add lipo cutoff (easy). What ever ya do make sure the charger ya get will work with lipos. The price difference is so small there is no reason to not start off with lipos. It will cost ya more later not to!

Any place better than the other to purchase these? Seems kind of limited up here in the Arctic. More than likely I will have to get all this online.

And don't forget to get a Lipo BAG for charging the battery if you go with the Lipo!

GO Check out TCScrawlers... They rock and right now they have their Axial AX10 RTC for $237.00

http://www.tcscrawlers.com/Promotion...1-p-17397.html

you're welcome

also like said above.. Deans plugs are great and are needed if you go lipo as the plug on a lip is not the same as the truck end.. so you have to solder in the new plugs.. But I have 2- 2cell lipos and they are great.. i can crawl around for a couple hours with one, no problem!

Check local ads also. I picked up a AX10 RTC on craigslist.com for $160. It was 3 weeks old. Came with everything but the charger. It was some racer dork that didnt like crawling.
