| build time on axial kits?
Does anyone know what the build time is on a axial kit (the one that can be easily converted to rear steer)?

It took me two-three hours to put the Axial kit together, I felt that I took my time, wanted to make sure I got everything together correctly; that's not including the time it took to put the beadlocks together. Tip for new beadlocks: The first time you drive the screws into new beadlocks you are cutting the threads on the rims. Before you actually put them together, use an electric screwdriver to thread a screw into each hole about 75%, this will make putting them together a lot easer because the threads will already be cut. (Figured this out halfway through putting my beadlocks together) |

If you have built rc's before then it should go smooth, but take your time and make shur you do it right... We put a Venom creeper together in like 6 hours. So good luck.

I think mine took about 5-6 hours on a relaxed pace while watching tv and periodically surfing the web take your time, enjoy it, i found that rushing a build leads to problems and makes it no fun, just have fun! youll learn alot building the kit and it will make repairs in the future alot easier i really like axials instructions, clear and precise with good drawings |

A 5.5 and 7mm nut driver's or similar, 1.5-2.0-2.5mm allen wrench/driver's, pliers, screw driver, sharp hobby knife. you'll need some more tool's for the mod's you will want to do later but that should get the build going......Have fun with the build |

I got a Kobalt rachet screwdriver driver that works wonders compared to regular screwdrivers.

You screw the beadlocks in right? They don't need to be glued in right? Cause that is either glue or grease on the giagram above with all of the tools that neeeded.

| Use one all the time, never stripped a screw. The trick is to always see daylight... I only use my electric screwdriver to drive the screw in about 80%-90%, then hand wrench then in the rest of the way. And, when you are using an electric screw driver when taking screws out, make sure the driver in in the "out" direction. |

| They are beadlocks, meaning that affix via screws, no glue. In the pic.....nothing says glue. It's shock oil, grease, and threadlock. The grease is for the gears and the. These are included

I never build a AX-10 kit, but my SCX kit took my 2 hours a day for 3 days to get it right for me. It was running the second night, and the last night was fine tunning the suspension. This did not include painting, I did soem custom paint and it took a week in total. |
