Default New to crawling.

Hi,

I am new to the whole crawler thing, picked up a TXT-1, got one heck of a deal on it.

I have done a few mods to it already to help make it a better crawler, such as removed the cantilever set up and just went straight to the shock, did my own 4ws mod, and going to be hopefully making new servo mounts so that i can remove the axle guard.

Now on a few questions.

Does any on know the max rpm or rpm per volt of a 35t, 45t and 55t motor?

What would be a goo motor to run?
Running an evx set up to run on 7.2 volt and only running a single motor.

Are there any good 550 or bigger motors for crawling?

Depends on who makes the 35-55T motors. Check out Holmes Hobbies for your motor. A 7 or 10T HH Puller would be a good motor for ya

That looks like a nice motor, but that motor cost more alone then I can afford to spend on 2 servos and a motor, The servos I am getting cost 30 shipped so that leaves me 30 for a motor.

What servos are you using?

With a TXT you want the biggest most powerful servos you can put on there, otherwise you will be dissapointed as it wont turn every time you want it to.

If you are dead set on going cheap on the motor, and trust me the pullers are well worth the money as I have a 10T in my TXT, look on ebay for a Kyosho Mag Mayhem. When they were making them they were like $20 new and they were great motors.

I am going to be using Towerpro MG995s at both ends. I know someone I can get the Mag Mayhems from.
