I would get a losi mini rock crawler (MRC). for a crawler on a buget, you really can't beat 'em!

Yeah, but a $300 mini crawler is going to be bad ass compared to a $300 night crawler. It is much cheaper to get a mini competitive than a 2.2.

Well now im confused, heh I have not bought my first crawler yet, been looking around and everone tells me to buy the night crawler over the axial and all the rest, a mini just seems it wont be able to climb as much as a 2.2 or a 1.9.

For scale you can't beat the Axial SCX10 TR. $284.99 at RPP Hobby. Great all around truck.

If you have not done any rock crawling, you will seriously be disappointed with a mini losi crawler. Get an AX-10. 2.2 is the class that you want to get into. Best bet is too look around at the different threads, within each brand there is a picture thread.. you can learn a lot from just looking at other peoples rigs. There is also a bunch of mods that can be done by just adjusting a truck right out of the box.. atleast with the AX-10 there is.. I dont personaly have experience with anything else.. so far with mine, with no expence and just reading stuff on here I've, mirrored my tranny, switched to droop suspension, put plastic tubes over my links for less friction, moved my four link to the inside of the frame, etc..

My suggestion, is spend your money on a car and get used to it, and try some mods before buying anything for it.. this will help you learn about your driving style which imo is the most important thing to understand in rock crawling..

Well for a first crawler RTR is about the easiest way to go, but if you are up for doing a kit then in my opinion the Venom Creeper is the way to go.

This is a pretty good package deal, everything you need to get up and running.

This is very slanted. I just bought the Losi Night Crawler and love it. I have had a wheely king, ax10, scx10 and a mini losi. The night crawler has been the very best out of the box crawler for my son and I love it too. I can take some lines with it out of the box that my 1000.00 rig can't do sometimes. I would say buy the night crawler and never look back. If later on you want to start competing then you can go MOA (motor on axle) or buy a dig tranny on here for about 30-50.00. If you want to do a combination of crawling and scale in one truck then the sxc10 is the way to go.

My .10 worth

We have the batteries on hand ready to ship with the truck now. No waiting, who wants to wait. Why run a promotion of free battery with truck if you do not have them.

Well the promotion is losi, they put the stickers on the box, and it was Losi who got back-ordered on the batteries for a week. Cant blame the store for a Manufacture promotion, when manufacturer screws up. Besides its only about 1 week; can run really most any battery till it comes in.

I really would like to know how this ultimate hobbies is going past the price limitations on the losi product msrp with dealers.

And honestly, why run a promotion like that and then not ship the battery with it? I dont care who's at fault, you say it comes with a free battery, it should come with the battery!

I have had no problem with any of the batteries being back ordered on these, not one of my customers has had a truck go out without a battery, and I can still get the trucks and batteries from Losi right now.

Not sure what to tell you, Im not a store owner, retailer, distributor or anything. All I know is like everyone else on this forum price matters, was just getting the word out for people who prices come into play when your buying something. Didnt mean to sound I was bashing your shop, cause I wasn't. Ive lookaed around on your website btw... nice shop :P
