Default Quick poll about battery/esc

Sorry for the newb question, just curious what kind of a setup people are using to bash with. I have about a 200 or so limit from xmas and am going to upgrade to lipo most likely. Wondering what mah people are running, and what kind of run times they are getting. I'm sure this has been covered before but I can't quickly find it. A link to an old thread would help a lot. Thanks!

Upon this being moved you might want a little more info. I have an scx10 and am debating a rooster crawler/45t brushed combo on amazon for under 100 which leaves me with about 100 for a 2s lipo and charger. Should i go with like a 20c 8000mah? or a 40c 5000mah? suggestions?

The Rooster crawler combo is a good choice. I would maybe go with the 35T just to get some extra speed out of it if you're gonna use only a 2S lipo. For batteries, you don't need alot of capacity. You'll get a good hour out of a 1600mah pack. 40C is most likely overkill for bashing. 30C would be ideal, but 20C would do too.

You can get a charger and a battery for cheap from www.hobbycity.com.

www.cheapbatterypacks.com has decent prices on batteries as well, they're also state-side and have better customer support. But getting both the battery and charger for $100 probably ain't gonna happen.

8000 mAh will give you run times for days... For the trail rig I use 2800, wifes rig uses 3300 and we run for good 3 hours..35T and 55T and for the comp I run 1500..
