| Many people use the Sidewinder for both scale and comp crawlers. It is an excellent speed control and, in fact, so many people use it that everything you ever wanted to know about it has probably already been posted.

Hi, and welcome to the forum. There is so much information here about anything you would ever want to know. There's an easy way to find it too, just use the handy search button. It's located at the top of the page. The sidewinder is a very, very popular ESC, as are a few others. The SCX10 (and AX10, which uses alot of the same components) are one of the most popular RC trucks on this forum, and there's even entire sections devoted to those two models of truck. If you click on those forums, you can see all the threads everyone else posted about their questions, and answers to those questions. You might even learn something new about your truck. Also, you only need to create one new thread with your question about what ESC to use for your truck, someone who knows the answer will find it and respond. There's a lot to learn, and this forum is a great resource, with a bunch of great members that are willing to help you out. |

I have one, not using it right now but I like it so much I'm actually going to buy another truck just so I can use it. Probably SCX10 Trail Honcho.

I think its an outstanding esc especially for the price. Used this in my 1st crawler (venom creeper) and it was a hands down choice to move it to my new LCC. You can program it by controller, but a castle link is highly recomended! Much easier to use. The castle link can also program the CC BEC.
