Question about electronics + heat

I am working on my first build and had a question about the CC BEC and the Novak "The Dig" unit. Do either of these create any heat when in use? I was thinking of hiding them in a small case, with the receiver as well, but dont want them to burn out if they overheat. Let me know. Thanks.

CC bec yes not sure about the dig. CC says that "Ratings are determined with a 5mph airflow on the BEC". It is converting voltages that creates some heat, that is why it needs airflow or the amperage output goes down.

I run a CC bec on 11.1v with no heat but it is tuct away and not in a box. Novak has little fans mabey incorporate a fan.

I'll mount the BEC elsewhere, as I was curious about the 5mph comment in the manual prior to posting. LOL.

I have a CC BEC in a balloon stuffed away in both my scalers, and I've never had any problems with them.
