Default mad bull

Hi Brand new to this but have had a few cars over time, Question I was going to put together a basic crawler not wanting comp level just bashing locally here in scotland I have 2 old mad bull cars that have seen better days would it be possible to take the rear axles of 2 and reverse one for the front on a homemade chassis I was thinking this would cause steering problems.

I have a limited budget and am only wanting to experiment if not what other axles would you recommend or should I try a shaftie by getting tmax diffs and tranny

any input would be helpful ...oh and a good new year to you all I love the site
