losi 1/10 comp shafts rub on lower link

hi out there

i'm a newbe to all the crawler seen, i bought the lcc it is stock suspension and my problem is when flexing it out the lower link comes up and hits the drive shaft.i under stand limit the travel would work but is there any ideas out there so i can keep full travel

what do you define as full travel? if three tires are touching the ground how high can you lift one tire on the axle with the rubbing link/shaft

don't laugh but a case of beer lol.if i hold the truck by hand and twist the suspension just before the shock bottoms out,the lower link meets up to the shaft and then will push on shaft slightly.this happens on both ends just opposite angles.

This common on all LCCs. It has been said that you need to limit your shocks with about 3/8" fuel line to keep this from happening. Kind of a bumber.

The only fix for this that I have seen, is using the drive shafts from the Night Crawler. It has dog bones for drive shafts and this way it has enough room for the links not to hit at full flex.

Hope this helps. It is only thing that I have heard of.

Grab some of these, they work great. If you lay your shocks down you might get a little bit of rub, but almost none.

I have a lcc that i compete with and i did limit the down travel on the frount and the up travel in the rear. I use pen springs they last longer then fuel tube . my shafts do hit the links and have never had a problem with it. so just set it up how it works for you and go have fun.

thanks a bunch i do like the pen spring idea,i'll work on setting it up better as i run more packs through it and get to know what works for me
