The "s" number is how many cells the lipo has.
2s = 2 cell
3s = 3 cell

The larger number (800 or 1250 or 2200 or whatever) is the milliamps or capacity.

The "C" number is how fast it will surrender its charge to your motor. A lower "C" number doesn't have as much kick and it will get hot quicker if you really put a load on the battery.

The "Burst C" rating is what you can stress it up to safely for a few seconds. The higher the burst rating the less likely you are to damage a bettery from overworking it.

So for crawlers with transmissions you want a battery (2 or 3 cell) with a decently high C rating (25 or above).

The Losi CC really needs a higher C rating than that.

MOA rigs can get away with lower C batteries. I have a 15C 3cell and two 35C 3 cell. All work just fine but the last two have noticably more punch from the takeoff.

That's a very simple way to explain it... but I hope that helps.

I was curious the difference in a 2S and a 2S1P?

the S actually means series and P is parrallel.

So a 2S lipo has 2 (3.7v) cells wired in series to give a total of 7.4volts

wiring in series increases volts (eg, 2S=7.4V / 3S=11.1V etc)
wiring in parrellel increases the capacity (Eg if a cell is 500mAh, then 2 wired in parrallel would be the same volatage (3.7V) but 1000mAh)

sometimes you will get 2S2P lipos which have 4 cells in total but 2 are in series and 2 in parrellel. so if each cell was 3.7V and 500mAh capacity, the pack would become a 7.4V 1000mAh capacity battery.

hope this sortof makes sense
