my first custom build

i bought the hpi crawler king rtr and i wasnt happy with how high everything sits on the chassis...
i have bought an ax10 chassis and transmission so i can mount everything lower and im wondering which motor to go with... i bought a waterproof esc since i fried mine out in the snow last weekend... http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...4&cat=2&page=1

i could any motor from 50t to 100t for around $20 so im wanting to know what all the crawlers out there are running?

I run a 35t on one of my rigs and a 45t on the other. so i would try a 45t and if it is to slow go to a 35t if its to fast go with a 55t.
45t is a happy medium.

my crawler king has a 55t in it stock...
drivetrain wise... im using everything from an ax10 - the axles
i see alot of people with 55t's around and im wondering, whats wrong with like a 80t?
how big of difference in speed are we talking here between a 45t and a 80t?

and do my parts sound like a decent combo? or "am i on the right track?"
i went with the ax10 chassis because it seems to be a more popular model and more mods available for it..
the crawler king by HPI barely has any mods available besides bodies and such... much less frames and gearing...
