Default Lipo set up for SCX-10

I have an Axial SCX-10 w/ the Novak Goat Sensor Based Brushless 18.5 motor and ESC (says it's good for 2C Lipo). I currently run a standard Trinity 6 Cell Ni-MH Stick Pack battery (7.2V/5000) w/ Tamiya connector.
What do you guys suggest in 2C Lipo that would be smaller (more compact & lighter) that would not require changing out my Tamiya connector on my ESC?

Please provide what you suggest and where to purchase:
Battery Part# & Name ?
Charger/Balancer Part# & Name ?

Thanks

Do you have a charger that will work with Lipo batteries? If so, what type of balancing tap does it currently have??

I currently have a Dynamite Prophet Plus which is no good for Lipo, so I would need to get a new one.

Yeah, that charger wont charge Lipo batteries. I have been using the Hyperion 606I to charge all types of batteries for quite some time now and am happy with the setup:

With this charger, you pick what connector you want to use, so you can install a Tamiya plug if you wish, just make sure it has banana plugs on the other end to plug into the charger.

I run a Thunder Power 2700 mAh pack in my scaler and get about a 2 hour runtime with my 45T motor. Here are a few packs to choose from:

The TP packs dont come with a connector, so again, you can install a Tamiya connector.

You will need to purchase the correct balancer tap for Thunder Power.

just a lil note... alot of lipos when ordered online you can choose what type of conenctor you would like, or they ship with no conector so your free to put which ever kind you like one....

on that note loose the tamiya conector, over time they can become loose and give a bad connection, definatly worth the few dollers to swap to deans
