Default esc/motor limit

just wondering what happens when you install, say a 15t motor on an esc that has a 20t or higher limit what would this do to the esc/motor?

It will let the magic smoke out! Lol, seriously though, the esc will get over loaded as the motor pulls more amps then the speedo is capable of producing. Things will start to heat up quickly and if your not careful, pooooof. You might be able to get away using it for a short amount of time but I dont think anyone is going to recommend it. Ratings are there for a reason.
